Hi my name is Gracyn Martin I am a freshman here at BVW. I decided to take photography this semester because my sister Sarah took this class when she went to West and she loved it. When she brought her pictures home at the end of the semester I was really impressed and I wanted to take pictures like her. I also needed another art credit and I heard multiple good things about this class from upperclassman so I signed up to take it. Many of my pictures are of architecture, dogs, and nature. Architecture is my favorite thing to photograph because there are a wide variety of different buildings and angles that can make the pictures really stand out. Another reason is because I love traveling so as I go through my gallery you will see iconic architecture from Chicago. Chicago has truly unique buildings and sculptures. I photographed my dog as well because he is so cute. I love dogs so Stryker's photos are perfect for my gallery. Nature was also featured in the gallery because I am outside all the time so it's something that represents me. Lastly, I have added some pictures of lights into my gallery because I love the spark it gives the photo. Photographing direct light was a little harder than normal so when I got a well-focused and contrasted picture of light I knew I had to have it added to my gallery. I hope you enjoy my pictures!
